Floyd Comes to Western Iowa

Tonight, Cole and I went to the Carroll I-Club banquet at Arcadia, Iowa to see Floyd of Rosedale and some guy named Kirk. Floyd spoke to the western Iowa crowd of about the high price of corn and how he has nothing to do with the rising cost of food. Floyd's friend, Kirk, talked about doing the right thing and staying out of trouble. He said he had given that speech alot lately. Oh, he talked a little bit about football too. I got some good photos of Cole & Floyd and that Kirk guy. Floyd said he likes the coverage he gets in the Neary News.

Jeopardy!

If you're like Grandma and enjoy your daily dose of Alex Trebek, look for Dave and I in the crowd. We were at the tapings of May 12, 13, and 14 shows. Its the college championships and they taped it at the Kohl Center. We had a blast, but Alex is a little cheesier than we expected. During every commercial break, he answers questions from the audience and tells jokes. He is much better at asking questions. The band played before and after each break and the cameras would span the crowd. Dave and I are seated to the right of the band (looking from the front) in the third row. You can't talk during the taping at all so Dave would tap my shoulder everytime he knew the answer. Yeah, it got old. Smarty pants.
