Another Grandpa Joe

Well, I just can't wait any longer. There's going to be another Grandpa Joe in the family! That's right....I'M PREGNANT! Some of you already had your suspicions...Melissa gets the award for guessing first but Uncle Jason came in a close second (he just got to the wedding later!). We found out the morning before the wedding and then got the official word the next week. I just had my first appointment today. Dave and I were hoping to get to hear the heartbeat but we just got to schedule the ultrasound for a couple of weeks. I'm just at the start of 8 weeks so I have a long way to go. The estimated due date is the Fourth of July, the perfect entrance for a kid of a couple of social studies teachers! So far I haven't been too sick, just very nauseous and tired. So, there it is, another Neary!! Say prayers for me and the baby and give a congrats to the grandparents to be!

I'm still in shock and it hasn't really hit me yet. I've worked for this for so long that I can't believe it's official!! Thank you so much for all your encouragement over the years!! You guys have been so amazing and all are such a blessing to me :) :) :)

I can't wait to see everyone for Thanksgiving!!

Interview at Iowa

Hey Everyone! : )

Just a heads up for everyone... I have my interview at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry on THURSDAY!! It's scheduled from 11 to about 2. So if everyone wants to think positive thoughts and send some prayers my way it would be AMAZING!!! Mom is picking me up tonight and we're going to spend the night in Iowa City. Then Thursday morning I meet with the adviser of the school, go on a tour and have my interview. It sounds pretty intimidating. I have to speak into a recorder and my interviewer can't say anything to me except what is written on the question sheet. Because the math section of my DAT didn't go very well, I need to do really well on Thursday! My roommate is a CPA so I'm wearing one of her suits. It makes me feel super young and super old at the same time. : ) I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure I'll be freaking out tomorrow. Alex and my roommates have been asking me questions all week and I've been reading up on my current events in Dentistry as well as memorizing the info on the Iowa website. I should be all set!! I love you all and I will let you know how it goes!!
