Boots+Babies+Bill=MerryMerry!!!!

A fun time was had by all this weekend with Grandpa Bill here. The kids loved it!! I think Mason said "Grandpa Bill...come here" or "Grandpa Bill...look at this" about a million times! We lost count about Friday. Dad got to Russellville just in time for Dirty Santa...Brady style. He had to sing, too. We had great weather with the exception of some rain. He was ready to sell his house after leaving 12 degree Blair and arriving to 70 degree Russellville. The kids had to show off every noisy toy that they got for Christmas...I think the smoking cowboy gun is the winner of the most annoying toy...EVER!!!! A close second is the Nerf guns that Mason is not quite strong enough to operate by himself. So guess who gets to help?...Grandpa, of course! Maddie is in baby doll heaven. Her favorite thing to do is take their clothes off...then have someone else put them back on. Good times!!! Love you all...hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Heaven Help Me!!!

Mail man willing...you should be getting these goodies this weekend. I have posted a pic for two reasons...#1 Should the US Postal Service fail me, you'll at least know what you missed...and #2 Should Dad eat it all on the way to the farm, you'll at least know what you missed. The first batch of Christmas candy was a total disaster. I threw away 10 cups of sugar and 1 pound of butter in one evening. OUCH!!! I knew if I could call Grandma, she would say, "Don't worry dear, just try it again. It was probably the weather." I think I heard her laughing when I fired up the red KitchenAid to whip up these treats. Not too bad...and the kids helped so they are extra sweet! We love you all and wish we could be there with you. Have a very merry and blessed Christ-filled Christmas! How fortunate we are to have the God of the universe love us so much to come in the form of a baby to save us and forgive us of all our sins. We hope you feel His love and share it with others this season. Love to all!!!
Okay....you can make fun of me now....another thing.  I just talked to the gal and since I won't be able to have the contract signed until tomorrow, guests can't call in for reservations until sometime next week.  Sorry, I didn't know about that little detail.

Thank you for bearing with me temporarily losing my mind.....

Sorry, one more thing.  For those that may be flying in, there is complimentary shuttle to and from the airport.

If any one has any questions, please ask.

Hotel Reservations

Hello Family!  Is everybody staying warm today?
Well, I am writing to let everybody know about hotel reservations for the wedding.  Yes, this may be a little early but I just found out there will be a big conference in Des Moines that weekend so I want to make sure that everybody will be able to get a room.

I have talked to the gal at Embassy Suites Des Moines on the River and she has offered us $129/night (based on a double occupancy).  Any additional adults in the room will be an additional $10.  This does include complimentary breakfast in the morning with our made-to-order omelet station and warm breakfast buffet as well as complimentary cocktails held every evening from 5:30 to 7:30pm.  I did call a couple other hotels in the downtown area but the prices were either similar or more expensive.  Also, my mom is planning to have food for lunch for the family in her hotel room deli style if interested on Saturday.

Also, Friday night before the wedding, Trent's parents, Jim and Sarah Keegan, would like to invite the family to the rehearsal dinner.  We do not know were it will be just yet but I wanted to give you all the heads up on that.

Reservation Information:
Embassy Suites Des Moines on the River
(515)-244-1700
As for the Neary/Keegan Wedding Reception special
Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd

Thank you everybody for being a family that wants to be together for events like these.  I really appreciate you all wanting to be a part of this day!

Love you all,
Emily
